Had a table for two out on the patio overlooking the harbor. The views were spectacular with the sun setting over the Boston sky line. Needless to say, the ambience was wonderful. Our server Johnathan was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable regarding menu questions. My Aperol Spritz was superb, my dining companion had a lovely glass of chilled Veuve. We started with raw bar delicacies,,, oysters and cherrystones served with a tasty Mignonette Sauce as well as the obligatory Cocktail Sauce. We both had the Baked Halibut, cooked to perfection. Our sweet was a luscious decadent Panna Cotta and Espressos of course. And then the post prandial stroll along the harbor walk was perfect....
We sat outside on a beautiful warm summer day. You cannot go wrong with the view on their lovely deck. We all had different salads and they were very good, very fresh. Service was good. Eating inside is very quiet, and good for conversation. But one cannot resist sitting outside on a beautiful August day.
Located at the Boston Harbor Hotel, [Rowes Wharf Sea Grille] offers an unbeatable eyeful of harbor and a menu from chef Daniel Bruce.
Sea Grille’s best offering is that patio. There you can take in the water view in the breeze, sipping a cold glass of something spritzy and slurping down oysters.
Gorgeous harbor views form the backdrop for this respite in the Waterfront’s Boston Harbor Hotel that’s especially nice in the summer if you can nab an outside table; factor in expertly prepared seafood, service that’s beyond reproach and a beautiful room, and for most it’s a pleasure to dine here; P.S. afternoon tea is also popular.
We had Sunday Breakfast. The food was outstanding as was the selection. It would have paid twice what they charged. Best breakfast I have ever had.
Excellent breakfast - I went back twice. the front staff was superb with helping with all of our requests and the manager was friendly and very helpful.
This is a great spot for excellent food and beverages PLUS the advantage of a beautiful setting. If you are lucky enough to be there in the summer, the live music on the barge is always lively and fun to listen to.
When I decided to treat myself to a Boston Holiday for my birthday with a friend, I knew exactly where the birthday dinner would be! In a city with numerous 5-star restaurants and Michelin-star chefs you'd think the choice would be difficult. After holidaying in Boston for the past 34 years, the choice was easy. I love Rowes Wharf Sea Grille, it's an intimate size, love the decor, the water view, the service is excellent and the chef pronominal! We've tried most offerings on the menu over the years and the choices are always excellent.
